With 200 years of history and deep roots in Brussels, D'Ieteren Group has been a structural partner of Beci since February 2025. This collaboration is based on shared values around mobility and the local economy.
The story of D'Ieteren is one of a company that has been rooted in Brussels for more than two centuries. What began as a coachbuilding workshop in 1805 has grown into a group present on several continents, bringing together a wide range of activities focused on mobility. From automobile distribution to window repairs, through brands such as Moleskine, an Italian firm of notebooks and writing accessories, D'Ieteren has been able to evolve without ever losing sight of its original heritage.
Mobility as a driving force
D'Ieteren Automotive has become a household name for anyone interested in the automotive sector in Belgium. The Group's subsidiary distributes a number of major brands, including Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Škoda, as well as Porsche and Lamborghini. It has a market share of over 22.5% in Belgium, with around 1.2 million vehicles on the road.
This diversity reflects an adaptability that goes far beyond simply selling cars: the group is investing in new forms of mobility, focuses on electric and hybrid vehicles, and anticipating changes in consumer behaviour. 'At D'Ieteren, this vision is embodied in our commitment to the future of mobility: offering all citizens smooth, sustainable mobility, whatever their means of travel,' explains José Fernandez, CMO of D'Ieteren Automotive.

For its part, Belron, the subsidiary specialising in the repair and replacement of automotive glass, is active in more than 35 countries, under brands such as Carglass, Autoglass and Safelite. Thanks to its international presence, D'Ieteren is also a key player in sustainable mobility. Furthermore, D'Ieteren is expanding into other sectors with TVH Parts, a global supplier of industrial equipment parts, strengthening its presence in the world of industrial mobility and even in lifestyle, with the acquisition of the Italian brand Moleskinen or even in real estate with D'Ieteren Immo.
Genuine Brussels coachbuilding heritage
D'Ieteren's historic headquarters have been located on rue du Mail in Ixelles since 1906. This iconic site is home to the D'Ieteren Gallery, a museum showcasing the history of the company and the automobile, first opened in November 1988 by Roland D'Ieteren, then Chairman and CEO. Today, the group plans to renovate the site to make it a sustainable, multifunctional space, incorporating offices, shops and services, while respecting the original architecture.
D'Ieteren is also involved in the Circularium project, located in the Heyvaert district, near the Brussels canal, between Molenbeek and Anderlecht. This 20,000 m² site, formerly dedicated to the automotive industry, has been transformed into a space devoted to the circular economy and innovation, hosting local entrepreneurs and associations.
Entrepreneurial spirit under the bonnet
D'Ieteren may certainly be an economic player, but it is above all a company born of a family history and an entrepreneurial spirit that spans generations. Innovation, adaptation to new challenges, and the desire to be close to the realities in the field are at the heart of its strategy.
It's this spirit that reflects Beci's mission, which is to support Brussels businesses in their ambitions. The group is part of a dynamic ecosystem, where exchanges, partnerships and joint initiatives fuel entrepreneurial energy. By choosing D'Ieteren as its structural partner, Beci is joining forces with a player that is well aware of the challenges of the automotive sector, but also more broadly those of mobility and industry.
‘D'Ieteren Group and D'Ieteren have deep and historic roots in Brussels and its economic hinterland, where a large proportion of our activities, employees and customers are located,’ explains José Fernandez, before adding: ‘This is why we have proudly announced D'Ieteren Group's membership and partnership with Beci, to embody this vision: that of a network of companies driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit.’
D'Ieteren Group continues to adapt, with the same curiosity as in its early days, to a time when mobility and entrepreneurship are at the heart of economic transformation. This partnership with Beci reflects a shared desire to help make Brussels a region where entrepreneurship, mobility and innovation go hand in hand.
