“Guide-me”: Federgon’s New HR Reflex

The federation Federgon has launched Guide-me, a digital platform connecting talent and companies with specialists in career support and well-being.

Career transitions, stress, burnout, retraining, returning after a long absence - career paths are rarely linear. With Guide-me, Federgon, the federation of HR service providers, offers a digital tool that makes professional support more visible and accessible, both for individuals and for companies.

A changing labour market

Known as the “network for work,” Federgon brings together private employment agencies and HR service providers, with a clear mission: to unite, advise, inspire and create. “We look at the world of work with an open perspective. Together with our members, we share a common goal: to highlight talent. By offering optimal support at every stage of a career, we work to ensure that as many people as possible find their place in the labour market,” says Miet Verghonencer, Legal & Policy Advisor at the federation.

It is in this context that Guide-me was launched, in partnership with Monizze, a company specialising in digital solutions. The platform addresses two pressing realities: the sharp increase in long-term absences and the low mobility within the Belgian labour market. Its goal is to give individuals and organisations a clear entry point to support services: outplacement, career coaching, reintegration or well-being guidance.

A platform designed for employees and businesses

Guide-me primarily targets individuals who want to take back control of their career. After a dismissal, a period of illness, or simply to reorient their path, users are quickly connected with a trusted coach nearby. “We want to make support more accessible, particularly for people facing long-term health issues,” stresses Miet Verghonencer.

But the platform is not just for individuals. Companies—especially SMEs—also benefit. Issues around well-being, professional transitions or reintegration are often difficult to handle internally. Guide-me provides them with a pool of certified experts affiliated with Federgon, ready to offer targeted support: coaching, training, or strategic advice.

To ensure the quality of services, access to the platform is restricted to Federgon members. These providers sign a quality charter and most hold official certifications.

Investing in prevention and retention

By using Guide-me, employers choose to act proactively: identifying signs of stress early, reducing absenteeism, and preventing unexpected departures. According to Verghonencer, “Federgon-affiliated providers become genuine partners for companies that want to build a sustainable well-being policy.” Support is no longer viewed as a last resort, but as an investment to keep careers active and motivated.

This approach is all the more relevant in a context of labour shortages. Talent is no longer retained by salary alone: people expect career prospects, a workplace attentive to their health and work-life balance. Focusing on well-being has become a way to attract, retain and strengthen an organisation’s appeal.

The benefits are also economic: reduced absenteeism, lower recruitment costs, higher productivity and motivation. By encouraging internal mobility through career coaching, companies can also respond more quickly to shifting market needs.

Towards a new HR culture in Belgium

Still in its early stages, Guide-me is constantly evolving. New features are in the works, including a more advanced search engine and additional educational content on well-being, prevention and sustainable careers. Federgon also aims to clarify a legislative framework that often seems opaque, making it easier for everyone to navigate.

The federation has also started awareness-raising efforts. In April, it organised its first inspiration day dedicated to reintegrating people on long-term sick leave, bringing together employers, public authorities, doctors, health insurers and experts. “Successful reintegration requires close collaboration between all stakeholders,” insists Verghonencer.

Beyond matchmaking, Guide-me is helping to shift HR culture in Belgium. Prevention, dialogue and continuous support are becoming standard practices within companies. For individuals, it means the chance to imagine more flexible, sustainable careers. For employers, it is an opportunity to build robust and attractive organisations.
