The energy transition is one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. In Brussels, to achieve its goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, the Region is planning a progressive decarbonisation of buildings, drawing on several levers: building energy performance, support for renewable energies, consumption control, ….

For businesses, the energy transition is both a long-term goal and an opportunity: by reducing their energy bills, managing consumption, and contributing to the resilience of their economic model.

Energy transition and heating–cooling decarbonisation 

It is in this context that the ESG for All cycle takes place. Each month, it brings together entrepreneurs and committed stakeholders around ESG issues, to share experiences, challenges, and solutions in a spirit of inspiration and action.

In this edition, we will highlight concrete projects led by key actors from the Brussels-Capital Region:

• Jérémy Hellemans, CEO of Centre de Tri (subsidiary of  Bruxelles-Propreté)
• Thomas Raes, Clients & Market Director at Sibelga, jointly leading the NOH project in Neder-Over-Heembeek.

This panel will be an opportunity to showcase sustainable and practical technical solutions serving the energy transition; solutions at the scale of a single house, a co-ownership, or a neighbourhood, through the recovery of residual heat from the Bruxelles Énergie incinerator..

Lisa Isnard, Beci's General Secretary, will moderate the panel and Catherine Mertens, ESG community manager at Beci will launch the event.
