In August, Beci is launching the first edition of its summer event: the Beci Summer Summit. An exclusive gathering to talk about Brussels without suits and ties, without wooden language, in short: to talk about Brussels in a different way.
Brussels doesn’t reinvent itself in cosy salons. This summer, it’s happening in the open air. The 2025 edition of the Beci Summer Summit, co-organised with AG, is stepping outside the walls and taking place under the capital's sky, in a venue that is well worth a visit: the AG Campus. Over the years, the event has become a key moment in Beci's calendar. Somewhere between a vibrant urban forum and an informal networking evening, the Beci Summer Summit celebrates Brussels as a city that not only welcomes, but also empowers those who build, imagine and transform. It is a place for debate, discussion and the exchange of ideas. In short, Beci is stepping outside – both literally and figuratively – to bring the Region back to the centre of the conversation.
Brussels wears many crowns: capital of Belgium, capital of Europe and capital of entrepreneurship. Thanks to its strategic position, its wealth of diverse talent and its growing start-up ecosystem, the Region is a beacon for opportunity and creativity.
In 2025, we are moving away from the institutional setting to make way for a more open, hybrid gathering. The Beci Summer Summit is taking place in a more summery, lively setting. It's a new kind of format, halfway between a socially conscious drinks reception and an urban forum. In short, it is a more relaxed way of addressing fundamental issues in an atmosphere that encourages dialogue.
Making Brussels circulate
Less badges, more dialogue, less slides, more spontaneity – but always with quality content. The idea behind this gathering is to make it convivial, yes, but not only that. It is also political, in the noble sense of the term: to bring people together, to let ideas and points of view circulate. It’s about making sure that all those working for Brussels, each in their own way, get the chance to speak to one another.
Expect to meet business leaders, heads of associations, elected officials, creative minds, international profiles... and perhaps even a few distinguished guests. Among our guests of honour, we can already reveal that Éléonore Simonet and Bernard Quintin, Brussels ministers of the federal government, will be attending. In short, everyone helping to shape Brussels, in their own way.
Regardless of the location, the most important thing is the content. We will discuss opportunities, obstacles, and possible courses of action: anything that can help put Brussels back on the map.
See you in August
In short, there is no need for grand speeches to bring out ideas. Sometimes, all it takes is a pleasant venue, a drink and a good conversation. We might not reinvent Brussels that night, but we’ll certainly look at it with fresh eyes, or reimagine it altogether. See you on 27 August!
