Beci defends the interests of Brussels entrepreneurs before public institutions and in more than 95 regional governance bodies. The Entrepreneurship Community is part of a vibrant ecosystem of training, meetings, experience sharing and co-creation between entrepreneurs. Targeted events with innovative formats enable project leaders, start-ups, scale-ups and executives to connect and grow together.
Beci offers concrete solutions to meet the needs of businesses: administrative support, legal advice, mediation sessions and judicial reorganisation procedures (JRP). Thanks to this integrated approach, the Entrepreneurship Community has become a one-stop shop for entrepreneurship, development and dealing with the ups and downs of entrepreneurial life in the heart of the European capital.

The CEd Relance is aimed at all Brussels-based businesses in difficulty. Advisors are available to listen, provide guidance and answer specific or general questions that entrepreneurs may have about their business and its surroundings.
The CEd also offers financial aid in the event of disputes(Mediation) or when a company is in financial difficulty but remains viable and wishes to obtain a temporary freeze on its debts in order to reorganise (JRP). This helps to avoid bankruptcy by negotiating a recovery plan with creditors.

Agreements
The CEd Relance, Judicial Reorganisation Procedure (JRP) and Business Mediation programmes are initiatives of the Brussels Region, which is their main supporter, in partnership with Beci within the framework of these three specific agreements.
CEd Relance
CEd Relance is aimed at all businesses in the Brussels region that are experiencing difficulties and is available to listen, provide guidance and answer specific or general questions that entrepreneurs may have about the running of their business.
Judicial Reorganisation Procedure (JRP)
The JRP is a procedure intended for companies whose continuity is threatened in the short or medium term, with a view to enabling them to attempt to continue their activities and preserve jobs under the supervision of the Court. The Court that declares the judicial reorganisation procedure open sets the duration of the moratorium, which may not exceed four months, unless it is subsequently extended. The suspension has the effect of generating a moratorium (= a freeze) on past debts. During the suspension period, the company cannot be declared bankrupt.
Business mediation
In general, mediation aims to resolve situations involving a limited number of creditors, and it allows for intervention without publicity, limited in time, and sometimes rapid. Mediation is voluntary, whereas JRP is collective and an agreement must be reached concerning all creditors.
