Dare Brussels

Brussels is a global city. As the capital of Europe, Belgium, Flanders and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, it is home to international institutions, businesses, talented people and more than 180 nationalities. It possesses assets that are the envy of many. Yet its potential remains overshadowed by a negative image, sometimes even amongst those who live there.

For Beci, it is time to take the initiative: to tackle the challenges holding the Region back – from security and mobility to administrative complexity – whilst further highlighting its strengths. This also involves better promoting Brussels to investors, talent, visitors and businesses, both in Belgium and internationally.

With ‘Choose Brussels!’, Beci aims to boost economic attractiveness, promote exports and strengthen links between Brussels’ economic networks. The aim is to make Brussels a confident, attractive capital that is open to the world.

Brussels has incredible assets that the world envies us for: let’s finally believe in our strengths! All the ingredients are there to make it the most attractive capital in Europe, but our city cannot shine without its businesses. Let’s sort out the issues and put Brussels back in the spotlight. What we want is an ambitious capital where people can start businesses, invest and live.

Lisa Isnard

Secretary General

Brussels is a dense, complex place, with many stakeholders around the table. This is a reality that won’t change overnight. However, we can ensure that all these different players finally work towards the same goal.
