Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, DALL·E, Copilot, and many others are transforming the way we create — from text and images to music and beyond. But who owns the rights to this AI-generated content? The user? The company? The AI? No one?

This webinar will clarify the legal framework currently in place in Belgium, across Europe, and beyond (including the U.S., China, etc.). You’ll learn which creations can (or cannot) be protected, what to include in your contracts, and how to reduce legal risks related to the use of AI in your creative work.

The webinar is hosted by Beci and led by our member Sophie Everarts de Velp, a lawyer at the Brussels Bar and expert in intellectual property and technology law.

Sophie Everarts de Velp of Mutatis legal is a lawyer at the Brussels Bar. She supports companies in matters related to intellectual property (copyright, trademarks, etc.), technology law (artificial intelligence, websites, etc.), and data protection (GDPR, cookies, etc.). She is also an accredited expert by the Belgian Federal Public Service for Economy (SPF Économie), authorised to carry out free intellectual property pre-diagnostics for businesses.
