AI Bytes & Bites Webinar 7: Who owns the AI-generated content?
The webinar is held in French
Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, DALL·E, Copilot, and many others are transforming the way we create — from text and images to music and beyond. But who owns the rights to this AI-generated content? The user? The company? The AI? No one?
This webinar will clarify the legal framework currently in place in Belgium, across Europe, and beyond (including the U.S., China, etc.). You’ll learn which creations can (or cannot) be protected, what to include in your contracts, and how to reduce legal risks related to the use of AI in your creative work.
The webinar is hosted by Beci and led by our member Sophie Everarts de Velp, a lawyer at the Brussels Bar and expert in intellectual property and technology law.
Webinar Objectives:
- Understand the criteria for copyright protection
- Identify when AI-generated content can (or cannot) be protected
- Know who owns the rights in human/AI collaborations
- Learn how to integrate best contractual practices within your company
Who should attend the webinar?
Ideal for companies, marketing professionals, creators, in-house lawyers, developers, and business leaders.
Why not to miss the webinar?
- Because the use of AI in creation raises real legal questions that are still unclear;
- Because mistakes regarding rights can be costly for your company;
- Because it is better to prevent disputes than to endure them — especially in such a new field.
