Building pathways to green & digital jobs for migrants
This session is powered by the EMERALD project and is held in English
Belgium’s green and digital sectors are growing fast, but many businesses still struggle to find the right talent. In 2023, 75% of European employers reported difficulties filling skilled positions, and Belgium has the second highest job vacancy rate in the EU.
At the same time, 23% of highly-educated migrants in Belgium are working in jobs that don’t match their qualifications.
- Can migrants in Belgium bring valuable skills and untapped potential?
- How can we build effective, inclusive training pathways to help migrants access these opportunities and address labour market needs?
Join us on 26 August at 14:00 for an interactive online session to explore concrete ways of designing tailored training programmes, bringing together employers, training providers and key players in the field.
We’ll discuss challenges, opportunities, and how to collaborate for real impact.
Your experience and perspective can directly shape how these pathways are built.
The session is powered by the EMERALD project of which Beci is a partner.

What is EMERALD?
EMERALD is an EU-funded Erasmus+ project that addresses the growing demand for green and digital skills.
EMERALD aims to create inclusive training pathways to upskill and reskill migrants through re-skilling labs, based on the public-private partnership models.
The project brings together 14 organisations from six countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Italy, and Spain. In Belgium, the partners are Synlar, Le Monde des Possibles and Beci – Chambre de Commerce de Bruxelles.
