CyberXP - Boost your cyber resilience

Hacking, phishing, CEO fraud emails... cyberattacks don’t spare anyone, especially not SMEs. These attacks are becoming more frequent and more sophisticated, crippling entire systems, locking sensitive files, or impersonating your employees.

If you are running a business without a clear cybersecurity strategy, you might be more vulnerable than you think. Even if you have an IT provider or in-house support, that is often not enough.

According to a recent study by Beltug (Belgian Association of CIOs and Digital Technology Leaders), only 38% of small Belgian businesses (fewer than 50 employees) have a cybersecurity plan. Not because they don't care, but because they lack time, tools, or know-how.

That’s exactly what CyberXP aims to change.

What is CyberXP?

CyberXP is a free hands-on training programme, funded by the European Union and FOD Economy, developed by CyberSecurity Challenge asbl and supported by numerous partners: FEB-VBO, Cybersecurity Coalition, Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium, Agoria, Digital Wallonia, KU Leuven et Beci.

The programme features immersive, gamified workshops held across Belgium: two in Flanders, two in Wallonia, and one in Brussels, each adapted to the participants' language and context.

The first two sessions have already taken place in Ghent and Liège. Now, we invite you to join the Brussels session on 11 September.

How does CyberXP work?

CyberXP is an in-person learning experience based on simulated cyberattacks and expert coaching

  • The crisis simulations are based on real-life cyber incidents that happen every day in Belgium.
  • At each stage of the simulation, participants receive new information and must decide how to respond.
  • Working in teams, they explore possible responses and experience first hand the real consequences a cyberattack can have on a company, its staff, and its customers.

CyberXP is designed for managers of small and medium-sized businesses

  • No technical expertise or prior cybersecurity knowledge is required. In fact, the diversity of participants enhances the learning experience.
  • The game is a safe space: there are no right or wrong answers.
  • Feedback is built into each step of the game to support learning.
  • Professional coaches guide the teams throughout the day.

CyberXP equips each participant with a personal cybersecurity plan with quick wins

  • At the end of the training, each participant leaves with their own mini action plan
  • Two-three months after the training, participants can benefit from a free half-day follow-up session, with coaching by experts to help put their plans into action.
  • Expect practical advice, tips and tricks, new skills, and useful contacts.

Who is it for?

The programme is designed for SMEs, self-employed professionals, and anyone who wants to better understand how to protect their business or organization from cyber threats — no IT background needed.

Why participate?

  • Face real cyber threats in a safe environment: ransomware, phishing, CEO fraud, data leaks
  • Create a concrete action plan: personalized with three quick-start steps
  • Get expert guidance: three months of coaching to support implementation
  • Understand your legal obligations: GDPR, NIS2, CRA, CSA explained clearly
  • No technical knowledge required
