One Company, One Europe : What EU Inc. Means for You ?
This event is being held in English.
Start the day with a fresh perspective on Europe's business future
Join us for an inspiring morning breakfast to explore one of the most significant regulatory shifts for European entrepreneurs in years: the EU Inc., the European Commission's proposed pan-European corporate legal form, also known as the "28th regime."
Over a coffee, tea and croissant, hear directly from leading voices on what this new framework means for start-ups, scale-ups and investors operating across Europe.
Why does this matter ?
European start-ups and scale-ups still too often face a fragmented regulatory landscape. With 27 national legal systems and more than 60 company legal forms in place, it can take a company weeks or even months to set up, slowing growth and raising costs.
Diverging national company law rules create additional administrative burdens, higher costs, and delays in the growth journey, putting Europe's competitiveness under pressure compared with players in the United States and China.
EU Inc. aims to enable innovative companies to operate under a single, harmonised set of EU-wide rules, covering relevant aspects of corporate, insolvency, labour and tax law.
This optional pan-European corporate form would allow businesses to operate in multiple Member States from the outset, with significantly fewer administrative and legal barriers, levelling the playing field across the continent.
Its optional, fully digital procedures would enable innovative companies to scale up and incentivise them to stay in Europe, and encourage those who once looked elsewhere to return.
