Do you work in a bilingual team and notice that communication with your Dutch-speaking colleagues or clients can sometimes be challenging? The DaarDaar intercultural communication workshop is designed for you (and your colleagues)!​

Programme

A 3.5-hour workshop with three main activities:

●       Breaking taboos: sharing tips to improve communication between French- and Dutch-speaking participants

●       Role-play where participants act out a situation in a professional and/or informal context

●       Interactive bilingual quiz on culture, media, and traditions in the north and south of the country (prizes to be won!)

Objectives

●       Improve your communication techniques in a bilingual environment

●       Understand the socio-cultural context of your Dutch-speaking colleagues (and vice versa)

●       Overcome your fear of speaking Dutch

Methodologie

●       Creating a supportive environment where participants feel comfortable breaking taboos and speaking the other language

●       Learning through realistic, practical tips that can be applied in everyday situations

●  ​     Bilingualism without pressure: everyone is warmly encouraged to express themselves in the other language, at their own pace

Trainer

Aubry Touriel, originally from Liège and having lived six years in Antwerp, is in charge of training at DaarDaar. This quadrilingual translator and intercultural communication expert combines strong journalistic and educational experience across Belgium’s three regions.
