On Thursday 23 October at 9.30am, Actiris and the Brussels Hotels Association are joining forces for a job dating event to be held at Actiris (Astro Tower). Eleven hotels are looking for around fifty candidates with a variety of profiles.
54 positions to fill
Just over fifty profiles are being sought for various positions in 11 hotels. Actiris conducted an extensive information campaign targeting job seekers whose profiles matched the positions on offer. After an initial selection based on CVs, all candidates took part in an information session followed by individual interviews. Those selected at the end of this stage are invited to Job Dating, where they will have the opportunity to meet employers directly. This Job Dating event is also part of the reform of the time limit on unemployment benefits, with Actiris' objective being to quickly remobilise all job seekers, particularly those potentially affected by the reform in the short term.
‘We are very pleased with this event. Our sector continues to experience a structural shortage, so this is an opportunity for us to promote quality jobs in Brussels and, above all, to inspire people to pursue careers in this field,’ says Rodolphe Van Weyenbergh, Secretary General of the Brussels Hotels Association.
Quick and efficient interviews
During this event, job seekers and employers have a few minutes to convince each other as part of an innovative Job Dating concept, which has already been tried and tested in previous initiatives led by Actiris and other employers in the Brussels Region.
"It is very important for Actiris to support employers in their recruitment efforts and to assist job seekers in their search. These job dating events are an ideal tool for fulfilling both of these missions at the same time. We are organising more and more job dating events and it is an initiative that works very well," explains Caroline Mancel, Deputy Director General of Actiris.
