Training Description

This one-day training course offers a practical introduction to using Claude as an AI assistant in the workplace. Participants will learn how to use Claude to write, analyse, create interactive content and automate tasks on their workstations. 

Through demonstrations and exercises, you will learn how to organise your workflows using Projects, customise Claude with Skills, produce comprehensive deliverables via Artifacts, delegate tasks to Cowork, and get an overview of Claude Code so you can save time and focus on higher-value activities.

Training Objectives

Enable you to:

• Use Claude as a professional assistant to reduce the time spent on manual and repetitive tasks
• Organise their work using Projects, Skills and Artifacts to produce high-quality deliverables with integrated business logic.
• Identify specific use cases to automate within their own context and leave with a working workflow or a prototype that can be reused straight away.

The Program

• 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM | Introduction to the day
• 09:30 - 10:00 |  An introduction to Claude and its professional applications: understanding the Claude ecosystem (models, Claude.ai, Cowork, Claude Code), its capabilities and limitations. Identifying the main business use cases.
• 10:00 - 10:45 |  Getting started with Claude.ai and organising your work with Projects: interface, conversations, memory. Creating Projects to dedicate a space to a business context, complete with instructions and reference files.
• 10:45 - 11:00 |  Break
• 11:00 - 11:45 |  Creating deliverables using Artifacts: production of documents, visuals, dashboards and interactive mini-apps. Iteration and export.
• 11:45 - 12:30 | Practical exercise: each participant creates a project relevant to their own context and produces an initial concrete, reusable artefact.
• 2:30 PM - 1:30 PM |  Lunch break - included in the price
• 13:30 - 14:15 |  Customising Claude with Skills: understanding how Skills work, an overview of standard Skills (Word, presentations, spreadsheets, PDFs) and creating a custom Skill.
• 14:15 - 15:00 |  Automate with Cowork: presentation of Cowork as an office automation tool. Demonstration of a complete workflow and integration with third-party tools
• 15:00 - 15:15 | Break
• 15:15 - 16:00 |  Practical exercise: building a personalised workflow combining Project, Skill and Cowork for a real-world task. Each participant leaves with a working workflow or a prototype that can be put to immediate use.
• 16:00 - 16:30 |  Demonstration of Claude Code: take it further: overview of the command-line tool, typical use cases and a demonstration using a real-world example to identify when to use it.
• 16:00 - 17:00 | Conclusion and feedback: a summary of lessons learnt, sharing of experiences and identification of processes to be automated in the future.

Bring your laptop to follow the training and do the practical exercises!

Prerequisites:

• Have an active Claude.ai account (Pro plan or higher) 
• Be comfortable using everyday office software (ex. Office, Google Workspace, file managers).
• Have a basic understanding of prompting with an AI assistant.
• Before the session, identify at least one repetitive task in your job that you would like to automate or speed up with Claude.
