Digital Transformation at Risk: Legal readiness as a key prerequisite for a successful transformation.

For every organization – and in particular KMO’s/SME’s - launching digital tools, platforms, AI solutions, data-driven services or online processes often happens under time and budget pressure. Yet many digital transformation projects fail, stall, or become excessively costly not because of technology, but because the legal framework was not properly assessed from the outset.

European and Belgian regulations such as GDPR, the AI Act, the Data Act, NIS2, Cyber resilience legislation, Intellectual property law and specific contract law may apply depending on your activities, your role, your data flows and your digital business model — often without organisations being fully aware of it.

Rather than legal theory, the focus is on risk assessment, smart prioritisation and legal readiness as a success factor for sustainable digital transformation.

Objectives

  • Identifying when and why EU and Belgian digital regulations apply to your business
  • Understanding how legal risk assessment supports strategic decision-making ;
  • Integrating legal constraints into budgeting and project prioritisation ;
  • Avoiding costly redesigns, delays or remediation after go-live ;
  • Recognising legal compliance as a lever for trust, scalability and long-term value

For whom?

This training is intended for company owners, executives, innovation and digital managers, IT and data leads, project managers, consultants, and anyone involved in digital transformation, AI projects, data-driven initiatives or platform development within the EU.

Why you shouldn’t miss this webinar

  • Because not every digital project is subject to the same legal rules — but you must know when they apply
  • Because legal misalignment can significantly increase costs and derail otherwise solid strategies
  • Because early legal clarity enables better decisions, better budgets and faster execution
  • Because legal readiness is not a blocker — it is a competitive advantage
