THE GUESTS:
Yvan Verougstraete is a Belgian entrepreneur and politician, born in 1975 in Ixelles. He founded and managed Medi-Market, a chain of pharmacies and drugstores, from 2014 to 2021, earning him the title of "Manager of the Year" in 2019. In 2021, he entered politics with Les Engagés, becoming a Member of the European Parliament in 2024 and president of the party in April 2025. He sits in the European Parliament as part of the Renew Europe group and is also a municipal councilor in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre.
Pierre de Schaetzen is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Poppy Mobility, a major player in shared mobility in Belgium. Previously, he founded and led Billy, a self-service electric bike startup. Pierre also owns La Jungle, a private coworking space in Brussels, and sits on the board of the non-profit organization CyCLO vzw, active in the field of urban cycling. At Poppy, he is the one behind innovative campaigns and strategic partnerships, notably with Vay for teledriving and TAXIVERTS for an integrated taxi service. He advocates for multimodal and sustainable urban mobility, aiming to reduce dependence on private cars.
Jane Murphy is a Belgian-Canadian lawyer specializing in data protection, corporate law, and corporate governance. She is the founder and president of EDPO and EDSR, providing representation services for non-European companies in compliance with the GDPR and other digital regulations. She holds law degrees from Canada and Belgium, and also earned an LLM in European and International Law and a Certificate in Data Protection from Solvay Brussels School. Jane serves as an independent director of several international companies, including Oracle Financial Services Software and Ageas Belgium. She is also a member of the Barreau de Bruxelles and the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
