Brussels multilingualism: an asset for your business

Brussels multilingualism: an asset for your business

Brussels is a multilingual city. For many companies, this reality represents a challenge. It can also become a strategic resource. Multilingualism facilitates recruitment, improves customer relations and strengthens internal cohesion—provided it is effectively leveraged.

As part of the Brussels Multilingualism Week, Beci highlights companies that experience this diversity on a daily basis. This event offers testimonials and analyses to help organisations better integrate language skills into their management and development strategies.

Programme

  • Introduction by Philippe Van Parijs, professor at UCLouvain, Oxford, Bielefeld and Berkeley.
  • Company testimonials
    • Fyriel Souayah  (Infrabel), Learning & Development Specialist, responsible for language training.
    • A representative from the hospitality sector
    • Aubry Touriel (DaarDaar), journalist specialising in Flanders.
  • Conclusion by Dirk De Smedt, Minister in charge of Finance, Budget, Public Service, the Promotion of Multilingualism and the Image of Brussels.
  • 18h15 - Networking

The Brussels Multilingualism Week is an initiative of the Brussels Council for Multilingualism, organised with the support of Minister Dirk De Smedt.
