Neurodiversity at Work: Understanding, Experiencing, Taking Action

Immersive Screening & Discussion | Atypiques

Neurodiversity is still predominantly approached from two perspectives: a medical one (diagnosis, disorders, support and treatment) or an inclusion-focused one (welcoming people who function differently). Yet neurodiversity directly challenges ways of collaborating, management practices, talent inclusion and the collective performance of organisations.

Through a screening and discussion of the Belgian documentary "Atypiques", Hypersens, in collaboration with Beci, offers an engaging and thought-provoking experience to better understand the realities experienced by neurodivergent individuals and open a meaningful dialogue on what is truly happening within organisations.

An immersive evening designed to move beyond theoretical discussions on neurodiversity and take a closer look at what is happening within your teams, practices and working environments.

The programme

Screening of the documentary Atypiques

Produced in Belgium and released in 2025, Atypiques takes us into the lives of five neurodivergent adults who, after years of masking their differences in order to fit in, find themselves at a turning point in their lives.

From Pierre, a father with ADHD, to France, an autistic woman seeking acceptance, each of them discovers that there is nothing to cure or hide, but rather something to understand and embrace as part of their uniqueness.

Through stories of resilience and self-discovery, the documentary questions the place of neurodiversity in our society and celebrates the richness of diverse ways of thinking and functioning.

Guided discussion & debrief

 The debrief goes beyond the emotions triggered by the film. Facilitated by the Hypersens team, the discussion shifts the focus from individuals to the working environments in which they operate.

Following the screening, we invite participants to take part in a collective exchange aimed at:

  • gain a deeper understanding of neurodiversity-related challenges in the workplace;
  • connecting the situations portrayed in the film with workplace realities,
  • questioning the implicit norms that quietly shape working environments;
  • sharing experiences and exchanging with peers on HR and management challenges;
  • discover practical approaches to building more inclusive and resilient work environments.

The format prioritises immersion, lived experience, and emotional awareness in order to foster authentic and constructive exchanges.

Why is this topic strategic for companies?

Addressing this topic is not about adding another item to your agenda; it is about tackling challenges that organisations are already facing today: employee engagement and wellbeing, management maturity, innovation capacity, collaboration and communication practices, as well as talent attraction and retention.

All these challenges have one thing in common: the way our working environments are designed.

This is why our ability to build organisations that embrace different cognitive ways of functioning has become a major human, organisational and economic issue.

Through this collaboration, Beci continues its mission to create concrete spaces for dialogue between companies around the human, societal, and organisational challenges that are sustainably transforming the world of work.
