ONSS inspection audit: it’s best to be well prepared!
Tuesday 24 November, from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm
In-person seminar in French
Beci – Avenue Louise 500 – 1050 Brussels
The financial impact of an ONSS inspection can be significant. Indeed, if benefits have not been subject to social security contributions when they should have been under the regulations, the employer must, in principle, pay the employer’s and employee’s social security contributions for the last three years, together with any additional penalties where applicable.
However, employers can take certain preventive measures to ensure a ‘sound’ policy on benefits and thus avoid the issues regularly raised by ONSS inspectors, particularly regarding flat-rate expense allowances.
The seminar will highlight these key considerations in a concrete and practical manner.
PROGRAMME
The speaker will outline the key considerations relating to ‘sound’ practices regarding remuneration and alternative benefits. She will provide concrete recommendations, based on her experience, to help you prepare effectively for an ONSS audit.
In particular, she will address the following questions:
· What are the different social inspection services and their respective remits?
· What does the ONSS Inspectorate do in particular?
· What are the main powers of ONSS inspectors?
· What is the methodology of the ONSS Inspectorate?
· What documents are (most commonly) requested by ONSS inspectors?
· What are the ONSS Inspectorate’s main ‘areas of focus’?
· What should employers bear in mind to best ‘prepare for’ an inspection?
· What might be the consequences of an ONSS inspection?
