ESG for All: Weaving a sustainable future for textile

This event will be held in French

In a world of constant change, the integration of ESG - Environmental, Social and Governance - criteria is not just a list of European obligations to be fulfilled, it is also an opportunity to redefine one's business model and ensure a long-term development strategy.

The textile sector is at the heart of this transformation. Between environmental pressure, social demands and regulatory changes, textile players are faced with a major challenge: how can we reinvent the sector so that it is sustainable, ethical and economically viable?

Weaving a sustainable future for textile

Focus on the guests

💥Anaïs Carion is Managing Director of MAD Brussels, the fashion and design centre in Brussels. After several years in the private sector, from an online magazine devoted to design and architecture to the French fashion house Hermès, she has chosen to use her contacts and experience to promote the Brussels fashion and design scene, both locally and internationally.

💥Thierry Smets is the CEO of Les Petits Riens, a pioneering social enterprise active in second-hand goods, reuse, and the fight against poverty. After a traditional career in finance, he chose to put his skills to work for a meaningful project, combining social impact with economic efficiency.

💥Cédric Vanhoeck is a Belgian industrial designer and entrepreneur committed to the circular transition of the textile industry. He devotes his time and expertise to using technology to meet the environmental challenges of the textile industry. With this in mind, in 2017 he co-founded Resortecs, a pioneering company that develops solutions to make textile recycling easier.

Lisa Isnard, Beci's General Secretary, will moderate the panel and Catherine Mertens, ESG community manager at Beci will launch the event.
